The Ancient Krug, Krug, and Mini Krug are neutral monsters on Summoner's Rift. The Krug camp consists of one large Ancient Krug and one medium Krug that divide into a number of lesser Mini Krugs when slain. Killing the Ancient Krug spawns four Mini Krugs, and killing the Krug spawns two Mini Krugs, for a total of 8 units in the Krug camp.
Killing this camp awards gold gold and experience. If the Ancient Krug dies, all other monsters will despawn after being out of combat with champions for 10 seconds.
Notes
- All additional units spawned will be one level lower than the primary monsters.
- Ancient Krug deals 3% of the target's current health bonus physical damage with its attacks.
- Smite can be used on medium monsters but not on small monsters.
- Mini Krugs spawn over 1 second.
Strategy
- Unlike other camps, the counter-jungling strategy on the Krug camp is to kill the Ancient Krug and the units it splits into while leaving behind the Krug from the original camp. Note that if it's not possible to kill every unit the Ancient Krug splits into, the camp can be left nonetheless. The additional units spawned will despawn after being out-of-combat for a short period of time, denying experience from the enemy jungler.
- When taking Krugs, you first want to hit the Krug so it comes close to you and then move to one of its side while having the Ancient Krug on the opposite side. thus preventing the Ancient Krug from attacking you. This is because the larger Ancient Krug does much more damage than the smaller Krugs.
Trivia
