How to play against Thresh
To beat Thresh in Support on patch 26.20, start by knowing what you are up against: Thresh is a strong pick this patch with a 47.6% win rate across 1,627 ranked games at a 11.0% pick rate. Thresh scales: its win rate climbs to 53.1% past 40 minutes, so deny it farm early and force fights before it comes online. Playing the matchup itself: Thresh's Death Sentence has a long cast time. Watch for the cast to begin to take evasive actions. Intentionally breaking a wall of The Box can allow a vulnerable ally to escape unscathed. Thresh relies on collecting souls for a portion of his defense and damage. Try punishing him when he moves to collect them. Pick a counter from the list above, respect Thresh's power spikes, and track its cooldowns so you only commit to trades when its key abilities are down. Counter data updates automatically every patch.
