How to play against Vi
To beat Vi in Jungle on patch 26.20, start by knowing what you are up against: Vi is a situational pick this patch with a 49.0% win rate across 17,676 ranked games at a 6.0% pick rate. The champions that beat Vi hardest right now are
Xin Zhao,
Kayn,
Lillia: Xin Zhao wins 56.2% of the lane against it. Any of these is a safe counter pick. Vi scales: its win rate climbs to 52.6% past 40 minutes, so deny it farm early and force fights before it comes online. Playing the matchup itself: A fully charged Vault breaker deals double damage. If you see Vi start to charge you should back off or try to dodge it. Vi will shred your Armor and gain Attack Speed if she manages to hit you three times in a row. Try not to engage in extended brawls with her. Vi cannot be stopped while using her ult. Remember to save your displacement effects until after she's done charging. Pick a counter from the list above, respect Vi's power spikes, and track its cooldowns so you only commit to trades when its key abilities are down. Counter data updates automatically every patch.
