How to play against Swain
To beat Swain in Support on patch 26.20, start by knowing what you are up against: Swain is a balanced pick this patch with a 47.8% win rate across 3,320 ranked games at a 2.7% pick rate. Swain is strongest early (52.8% before 25 minutes) and falls off, so survive the early game and the matchup swings your way. Playing the matchup itself: Swain's passive is very potent if you are immobilized. Make sure to be extra careful around enemies who have immobilizing effects. High mobility counters all of Swain's basic abilities: Death's Hand does more damage the closer he is, Vision of Empire has a very long delay and Nevermove must start returning back to him to be dangerous. Buying an item with Grievous Wounds will make Swain much easier to kill during his Demonic Ascension. Pick a counter from the list above, respect Swain's power spikes, and track its cooldowns so you only commit to trades when its key abilities are down. Counter data updates automatically every patch.
