How to play against Morgana
To beat Morgana in Support on patch 26.20, start by knowing what you are up against: Morgana is an off-meta pick this patch with a 49.9% win rate across 6,204 ranked games at a 2.5% pick rate. The champions that beat Morgana hardest right now are
Leona,
Thresh,
Blitzcrank: Leona wins 53.6% of the lane against it. Any of these is a safe counter pick. Morgana is strongest early (50.8% before 25 minutes) and falls off, so survive the early game and the matchup swings your way. Playing the matchup itself: Tormented Shadow deals tons of damage to units missing large amounts of Health. When low on Health, be wary of Morgana's attempts to trap you within its reach. Morgana often needs to land Dark Binding to setup her other attacks. Use your minions as shields against Dark Binding. Black Shield makes Morgana immune to disabling effects, but can be broken with magic damage. Pick a counter from the list above, respect Morgana's power spikes, and track its cooldowns so you only commit to trades when its key abilities are down. Counter data updates automatically every patch.
