How to play against Master Yi
To beat Master Yi in Jungle on patch 26.20, start by knowing what you are up against: Master Yi is a strong pick this patch with a 51.2% win rate across 8,867 ranked games at a 6.1% pick rate. The champions that beat Master Yi hardest right now are
Wukong,
Kha'Zix: Wukong wins 58.8% of the lane against it. Any of these is a safe counter pick. Master Yi performs consistently across game lengths, so there is no single window to wait for, win lane on fundamentals. Playing the matchup itself: Meditate is an effective method of healing damage over time, but Master Yi is susceptible to coordinated team ganks early in the game. If Master Yi tries to farm with Alpha Strike, hit him a few times so he has to use mana with Meditate to heal. Although Master Yi cannot be slowed while using Highlander, other disables can stop him in his tracks. Pick a counter from the list above, respect Master Yi's power spikes, and track its cooldowns so you only commit to trades when its key abilities are down. Counter data updates automatically every patch.
