How to play against Lucian

To beat Lucian in Bot on patch 26.20, start by knowing what you are up against: Lucian is a balanced pick this patch with a 48.6% win rate across 406,214 ranked games at a 6.8% pick rate. The champions that beat Lucian hardest right now are Kog'Maw, Veigar, Brand: Kog'Maw wins 55.4% of the lane against it. Any of these is a safe counter pick. Lucian is strongest early (49.5% before 25 minutes) and falls off, so survive the early game and the matchup swings your way. Playing the matchup itself: Lucian has strong burst, but little sustained damage. Lucian cannot change the aim of The Culling. Take advantage of this by avoiding the angle of the bullets. Piercing Light does not give Lucian extra Attack Range. He still needs to find a target in range to line up his shot. Avoid Piercing Light by anticipating the angle Lucian will choose. Pick a counter from the list above, respect Lucian's power spikes, and track its cooldowns so you only commit to trades when its key abilities are down. Counter data updates automatically every patch.

Pros have picked Lucian in 25 of the last 111 recorded games (23%), winning 56% of them. See the pro build.
