Leona Counters

How to play against Leona

To beat Leona in Support on patch 26.20, start by knowing what you are up against: Leona is a situational pick this patch with a 51.7% win rate across 18,706 ranked games at a 7.1% pick rate. The champions that beat Leona hardest right now are Sona, Milio, Alistar: Sona wins 57.3% of the lane against it. Any of these is a safe counter pick. Leona is strongest early (52.5% before 25 minutes) and falls off, so survive the early game and the matchup swings your way. Playing the matchup itself: When Leona activates Eclipse, you have three seconds to get away from her before she deals damage. Only foes in the center of Solar Flare get stunned, so you can often avoid this if you're quick. Pick a counter from the list above, respect Leona's power spikes, and track its cooldowns so you only commit to trades when its key abilities are down. Counter data updates automatically every patch.

Pros have picked Leona in 5 of the last 111 recorded games (5%), winning 80% of them. See the pro build.
