Against Rengar

Rengar gains an empowered ability when his resource bar is full. Try to confront him when it's low.
Rengar's passive enables him to leap out of brush, so avoid fighting him when near bushes.
Rengar puts an indicator over the nearest enemy champion when he is camouflaged during his ultimate.
// Lore

Rengar is a ferocious vastayan trophy hunter who lives for the thrill of tracking down and killing dangerous creatures. He scours the world for the most fearsome beasts he can find, especially seeking any trace of Kha'Zix, the void creature who scratched out his eye. Rengar stalks his prey neither for food nor glory, but for the sheer beauty of the pursuit.

Ability details
Innate: Upon casting a basic ability or using first attack, Rengar generates a stack of Ferocity for 1 second, stacking up 4 times but not refreshing on subsequent triggers . At maximum stacks, his next basic ability consumes them all to become empowered with an additional effect and grant him an additional cast along with 30 – 50 for 3 (based on level) bonus movement speed for 1.5 seconds. Generated Ferocity is prevented from expiring for 10 seconds after dealing or taking damage, excluding damage dealt by damage over time or proc effects.
Innate: While in brush, Rengar gains Unseen Predator, which lingers for 0.35 seconds upon exiting brush. Unseen Predator is lost immediately if Rengar exits the brush using Flash or Hexflash.
Unseen Predator: Rengar's next basic attack on-attack generates 1 Ferocity if none of his current Ferocity was generated this way. The attack also has massively increased range and causes him to leap to the target's location if they are beyond his normal basic attack range, attacking the target upon arrival and landing 50 units in front of them.

Rengar can cast any of his abilities during the dash. The start of the leap is the end of Rengar's attack windup, putting the attack timer on cooldown, triggering on-attack effects and additionally refreshing the Ferocity duration.

Notes

  • Rengar has a secondary resource bar that indicates how much Ferocity he currently has as pips.
  • Ferocity generated by Unseen Predator has a purple color.
  • Ferocity generated by his other abilities has a white color.
  • Only Flash and Hexflash instantly end Unseen Predator. Other blink effects will still cause the buff to linger upon exiting the brush area.
  • The attack deals basic damage but is considered ability damage for Spear of Shojin.
  • While grounded or rooted, Rengar loses the enhanced attack range from Unseen Predator.
  • and bonus ranges are lost after 0.25 seconds upon gaining Unseen Predator, and are re-gained after 0.25 seconds upon losing Unseen Predator.
  • The same does not apply for other bonus ranges such as .
  • Rengar will only leap to a target if his basic attack timer has been refreshed (if not so he will not automatically attempt to path towards his target, despite them being within leap range).
  • Rengar can freely use any abilities, summoner spells, or item actives while leaping.
  • Using a dash or blink ability will interrupt the leap.
  • The attack from the leap will:
  • Not go off if the dash was interrupted.
  • Not go off if the target becomes untargetable.
  • Go off at the end of the dash even if its normal destination is obstructed by boundaries he cannot cross (e.g. terrain, ).
  • Go off regardless of distance the enemy travels away from Rengar's original location.
  • Go off even if Rengar loses sight of the target.
  • Bonus AD percent from Bonetooth Necklace stacks recursively with Infernal Might, Tyranny and mid lane quest's bonus AD multiplier.
  • Bonetooth Necklace uses different icons corresponding to the number of stacks acquired:
  • 1 Stack:
  • 2 Stacks:
  • 3 Stacks:
  • 4 Stacks:
  • 5 Stacks:
  • 6th Stack: Head of Kha'Zix
